Many Hands Make Light Work - CAS NEEDS YOU!!!!!
Clinton Art Society needs your help. Tuesday or Wednesday you will receive a letter in the mail with information about Clinton Art Society's upcoming Annual Meeting & Potluck Supper, Thursday, October 27th from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m in the Community Room at the Henry Carter Hull Library in Clinton. I hope that you can attend and be part of the future of this important community arts organization.
No one can run any organization, big or small, alone. Joanne and B.J. have been working hard these many years keeping the organization going and many of you have volunteered your time in a variety of capacities. Last year, Joanne and BJ, each for their own reasons, said they cannot continue in their previous roles. They wrote an open letter to everyone. At that time, I agreed to help and took on the role of Chairperson of the 67th Annual Summer Exhibition.
Please take a moment to read the cover letter and agenda when it arrives in your mailbox. The cover letter gives you an overview of the meeting, and there is an attached agenda. If you can make a dish to bring, please let me know.
At the bottom of each letter I wrote a handwritten note confirming your current membership status based on the most recent membership list. Many people have brought up concerns surrounding membership, so I figured the first place to start is to verify the status of membership.
It takes ALOT of people to have an organization run efficiently. Many hands make light work. When many people are involved, a team spirit grows and the organization, though it may be faced with tough times, growing pains, or difficult decisions, will grow and prosper. If you are currently fulfilling one of these roles and are willing to continue, THANK YOU! If you are willing to try to help the organization grow by taking on one of the roles listed below THANK YOU! Please let me, Liz Egan, know by contacting me at (860) 669-4487 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org prior to the Annual Meeting.
At the Annual Meeting, we will identify, elect and/or acknowledge the following roles in the organization:
President - I would be honored to do it, am willing, but cannot do it alone
