Clinton Art Society News
Lots of fun was had on last Thursday at the reception for the Clinton Art Society Exhibit at the Zahn Gallery at Middlesex Hospital in Westbrook.  Thanks to the staff at Middlesex Hospital office of Development and Community Affairs who supported us and put on a beautiful reception.  The show continues through October 30.  Looks like CAS will be hosting another exhibit at The Zahn Gallery in the Fall of 2019.  Stay tuned for details.

The Clinton Art Society Annual Meeting & Potluck Supper will be held on Thursday, October 12 from 6-8pm in the Community Room at the Henry Carter Hull Library in Clinton.  Look in your mailbox for agendas for the meeting which were mailed this week.

We have just received approval for a special Tribute Show which will take place during November and December 2017 in the Green Room at Andrews Memorial Town Hall in Clinton.  You'll hear more about it in detail at the Annual Meeting.  The Show and Sale will feature the collection of CAS longtime member and collector Carolyn Graniss Kirms and the collection of the works of CAS Elected Artist member Cora Howard. A special reception will be held in November.

Please send us info about your upcoming exhibits through the Winter.  CAS is working together with Clinton Events Magazine to write articles and feature stories about our member artists and our organization.  Please submit any exhibits you are participating in or newsy info you have to Liz Egan at  Or give it to me hand written at the Annual Meeting.

Love art books?  Just learned that numerous large bound art books (sometimes known as coffee table books!) will be part of the Guilford Public Library Book Sale this weekend!  Art books will be on sale for $4, so now is the time to augment your library, or purchase a book for a friend.

See you at the Annual Meeting!!
